Comics are love. No, really.

Yesterday being Wednesday, I did my weekly comic book pick-up run. Some people have asked me why I do this every week, rather than allowing my stack of comics to build up to a more satisfying level. I picked up the first trade of The Invisibles recently. It's...pretty trippy. I'm sure I don't get it all. I'm sure I don't get most of it, in fact.

But I'm still interested.

You're only now getting to The Invisibles ? Gosh. There's a lot of really cool stuff ahead of you. Also a lot of really weird stuff where "making sense" doesn't always claw its way to the top of the prority list, but on the whole a win, I think.

Out of town working right now, so new comics have to wait until Friday.

I don't have any trades on my list this week. Night before last, I read one of last week's acquisitions, volume 10 of Fables, which made me very happy indeed.

My list for this week includes Angel: After The Fall, The Goon, Narcopolis, Wonder Woman, Madman, Clandestine, The Twelve, Local #12, which is my pick of the week sight unseen, and one new pick-up, Red Mass For Mars. I'm also debating whether I liked Trinity #1 enough to get #2.

I haven't seen Trinity #1 yet, but I pretty much buy anything Busiek's writing. :)
