Saturday morning in ten easy steps.

Step one: wake up. This happens pretty reliably. When it stops happening, I will be dead, and that will simplify matters immensely ( Read more... )

What is it with XP and device drivers that ought to be fairly simple, like printers and scanners? I can see something complex like a wifi driver causing Issues (and they sometimes do), but really. Bits out say do this, gimmeh bits back. And it's either one of the dain brammaged ones that have been around since dirt was a research project (and thus should be mature) or a SCSI one, the interface for which has been around since dirt was in late beta....

I know, I know, rhetorical, but *really*.

Oh. I forgot. No one understands Windows. Not since Win 3.1, anyway. Here. Have a roll of pennies, you'll likely need extra.

g'morning!

I'm having a return-to-bed Saturday morning too. All the week's walking finally caught up with me late yesterday and my feet and legs yelled "NO MORE!" So I went to the bookstore (yeah, I know, walking... but in search of reading material so I could entertain myself while _not_ walking), came back to the room and crashed. So I'm spending a lazy Saturday morning, 'til I have to get organized enough to change hotels (soonish).

I sent you email earlier, btw... didn't want to call 'cause it was early and I didn't want to wake you.

Good luck w/ the StupidBox. Sometimes I think their sole purpose in life is to be annoying.

Got up at 8:30 AM to the sound of Satin (Old White Cat) wrapped around my head and purring in stereo. Surfed the net a while until she got bored and moved on. Went back to sleep until 1:00 in the afternoon....

I have been on the fence about Chris for a long time now. He is either a saint or he just worships the ground you walk on. Could be both, I guess. The only thing I am certain of is that he is very decorative. I don't know Chris all that well, but I like him a lot, mostly based on your live journal entries and what little I have seen and heard of him. I have a weakness for large nerd-boys. Actually nerd-boys of all sizes, but large ones remind me of life-sized teddy bears. Look who I married!
