With Friends Like These... #18: The New Black.

Jan 02, 2008 17:21

First, the strip:

With Friends Like These... #18: The New Black.

Second, the footnotes:

...really, there's nothing I can say here, save for the part where I promised Kate that this strip would never be sold or given to anyone other than her, Erin, Rand, or GP. On penalty of death.

I have the best friends.

erin, kate, friends like these

I didn't say you were. (Personally, I can go for either look, depending on my mood and other factors...)

My favorite factor involves 'does she look likely to decapitate me if I try to talk to her', personally...

Yes, but I work very, very hard to keep the rest of you from making me dead as a consequence.

MWAH.

And today I'm wearing... a shapeless orange sweater, with a skirt. Heh.

Did the promise specify whose death? 'Cause if it's a fill-in-the-blank work-order, you've got yourself something useful...

Hi,
I've been lurking for years living life vicariously through your posts. You are a very talented young lady! I appreciate being allow to read your journal. I do have a small request; I have a hard time reading the text in your strips, could you maybe make the text darker. The printing style is fine but it seems that the scanning doesn't pick up the letters completely. Of course it could just be that I need new glasses too. :-) Thank you for sharing your talents.

I'm working on that, actually -- I've been making the lettering bigger and working to standardize how it looks (since others have pointed this out). So it's going to be a gradual thing. The text is already pretty dark; I think it's the size compression that mangles things a bit.

And thank you!
