Facts so random that they verge on meaning nothing.

10. The Petco in Walnut Creek has some surprisingly excellent iguanas in residence, considering that it's, y'know, a Petco, land of killing small reptiles through misadventure and improper care. One of them spent a great deal of time and energy tail-whipping their climbing stick to demonstrate that it wasn't afraid of the big pink monkeys. I ( Read more... )

Your #9 and #1 random facts reminded me of a book that I've been reading that I think you should try to read. Its Dark Harvest by Norman Partridge and it reminds me of what would happen if Stephen King wrote an episode of Supernatural. If you can't get it from the library or other source I'd be happy to mail it to you when I'm done reading it provided it can make its way back home when you've finished devouring it. It will make sense why 9 and 1 reminded me of the book when you read it. =)

Don't send it to her, you'll never get it back.

It's Stephen King meets Supernatural. It's less about trust and more about you'll fall hopelessly in love and need to be pried away with a crowbar...

Remember when King was like Marvel comics: an adaptation of their work meant an utter crapshoot? (Rex Smith as Daredevil!) Thanks, again, Frank Darabont (and Bryan Singer, for X-Men.)

Living as I do in a college town, I am quite used to String Quartets in Residence, and Artists in Residence, and Poets in Residence. The concept of Iguanas in Residence, however, is new to me. I have the curious picture of them sitting at the front of a crowded lecture theatre, giving a masterclass to three students about, y'know, how to be an iguana...

If you find success with the pumpkin parfaits, would you please post the recipe you come up with? That sounds yummy, but I admit I don't want to have to try to discover the recipe myself.

I to am missing Jo. Very much so.

Loving Bobby as daddy figure.

I hate Bela. I hate her because she really is a bad guy, but she's human. Which means they can't just shoot, and they should have by now. I mean really, shooting Sam when he's under a bad luck curse? And selling the hand of glory meaning more death ever 37 years? People die because of the business she does.

Sadly, I like the demon more.

I love Ruby, loathe Bela and really also miss Jo. But they got rid of Jo because it's the CW, and hot young female characters have to have the sexual chemistry thing with the leads, or something. They also got rid of Ellen because she wasn't sexy enough, which pissed me way the fuck off, because if I wanted to watch Buffy I'd be watching it, I like the brothers together and other characters as incidentals, they don't need girlfriends thx.

Except for me and Seanan; we're going to be sisters-in-law, when she marries Dean and I marry Sam, but probably not till after the demon apocalypse when Prince Samael is ruling the world from his fiery throne askgdsjgsgkskfsf....
