* I have an appointment with Dr. James tonight, which won't fix everything, but should hopefully provide enough of a patch to let me keep limping through my days until I can see a general practicioner and get referred to someone who can actually figure out what the heck is going on with me. There's also a child of Iron Chef and Junkyard Wars, called Food Jammers. They've done hot-tub shabu-shabu, 3D pizza, built their own coffee roaster and their own ice cream maker, rigged a rotating cooking system for a five-meter hot dog, and a lot of other crazy stuff.

Satin was never a bright cat, and lately seems to be having senior moments (she's 17) where she needs reassurance that Daddy still loves her. This tends to happen at about 4 AM. Daddy goes back to sleep, thinking of white mittens....

Having seen a preview, I can say that Pushing Daisies reminded me of you and your writing, and I think you'll enjoy it. It's sweet without being cloying, adorable and kind and yet just a little dark, and very weird, and very endearing.
