TV Boyfriends & Colbert/Stewart vs Conan

Jan 31, 2008 20:25

I haven't been around lately because I've been busy with French class (ça marche assez bien, mais je suis un peu fatiguée en même temps), trying to read/watch/listen to as many things françaises as possible... I've also been trying to catch up on Psych season 2 and The Office season 4, as well as watch a couple more movies for my 100 Movies 2008Read more... )

life, the office, lj, the colbert report, kafka on the shore, psych, gossip girl, house md, tv, stephen colbert, book

Colbert/Stewart vs. Conan is going to be EPIC. So much fun! I love that it is like a network crossover. I love seeing old clips of Jon so I was rolling on the floor from his MTV show clip. I think they should just have a danceoff to declare a winner - plus Stephen would totally win it. :)

I don't watch Gossip Girl either - although it seems to be all the rage. After VM, I just can't seem to give any teen geared shows a try.

I KNOW!!! I hope they keep it up, especially since Stewart has gone and got his hands 'dirty' too, hee ;) (had he mentioned anything about it on his show before appearing on Colbert's?). A dance off? Was there ever a precedence? Cool, and yeah, Stephen would win it ;).

Yeah, I was thinking about it, but then I kinda feel like I'm a bit too 'old,' haha... Besides it's made by the same guy who did The O.C., which I never got into.

Nope Stewart hadn't said anything up to that point. I say dance-off because Stephen loves to dance and would kill at it. Plus it would be hilarious. And also because when Rainn (Dwight) and John (Jim) went on the Ellen show they had a dance off and it was priceless.

Yeah, I never watched the OC, but I was thinking the same as you - I'm too old for all these teen shows. OTH is enough thank you. :)

i tried to get into gossip girl, so i watched the first 5 episodes. not my cup of tea, but dan was by far my favorite character. mostly because he's so nerdy/cute, pretty much the seth cohen of gossip girl. yay, dan.

i love the giant "colbert '08 (and so can you!)" poster. haha. stole the book from my brother a couple days ago, and i LOVED it.

Ahhh, Seth Cohen... 'Gotcha. Well, to be honest, I didn't like Seth much, which was why I didn't watch The O.C.. He sounded good on paper and he was definitely cute, but when he opened his mouth, I just wanted to smack it shut. He's got that annoying Vince Vaughn motor-mouth quality. I can't stand that in men... But anywhoo, it's kinda neither here nor there, haha...

By Dan's description, I think that Quiz was nevertheless pretty accurate. I'm always more attracted to intelligent men, but the other 'intelligent' characters that they had (Michael Scoffield, Gregory House) had one social problem or another, haha, so I suppose Dan would be the best ;).

I'm so overthinking this. Have you tried the Quiz?

I'm guessing... You'll get Jim Halpert?

Wasn't the book JUST SO BRILLIANT??? I got through it way too fast, so I'm gonna read it again some time soon :).

HAHA. i can definitely see where you're coming from. i personally love awkward ramblers, but i'm weird.

another thing i find hysterical: i did not, in fact, get the sweet, lovable jim-type guy. well i did, but.... very different. i got chuck. pretty amazing. apparently i'm a bigger nerd then i thought.

i loved all the rants about old people and social security. also, the explinations of the university courses: introduction to metaphysics: nothing you can't pick up by eating the wrong mushroom on a camping trip.
