TV Boyfriends & Colbert/Stewart vs Conan
I haven't been around lately because I've been busy with French class (ça marche assez bien, mais je suis un peu fatiguée en même temps), trying to read/watch/listen to as many things françaises as possible... I've also been trying to catch up on Psych season 2 and The Office season 4, as well as watch a couple more movies for my 100 Movies 2008 challenge (if I can knock down some good French movies, that'll be killing two birds with one stone, heh). Plus, I've retaken up my love for baking (apple pies are my thing, fo' sure). On top of it all, I've just started this GREAT BOOK, recommended by a friend: Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. Perhaps partly because it's a translation from the Japanese, but the English version is so easy to read and engaging. I'm still not sure where it's going but I'm curious nonetheless!
Anyway, I decided today would be an LJ day, whereby I'd catch up on all your posts and do some memes, one of which (stolen from shreyden):

'Figures. Despite my chronic TV watching, I'd get a TV boyfriend from the ONE show I DON'T watch! All I know from Gossip Girl is that it stars that hot (barely legal) chica, who had the oh-so-inappropriate hots for House last season. She's now brunette though, which is why I didn't recognize her at first, but I think she's actually even prettier this way. Anyway, back to meme... This Dan dude sure looks hot enough (if not a bit in that male model-like, 'too-perfectly-good-looking-that-it's-not-appealing' sort of way) and his description certainly fits the kind of guy that appeals to me!
But, really, if I were to be honest... I've been thinking about this lately... In all seriousness (ha ha), I think my dream guy would be this man:
STEPHEN COLBERT!!!
'More the REAL Stephen, of course --- because he's a family-loving, low profile Catholic liberal --- but, truth be told, I also kinda like a bit of his TV personality's arrogance ;D. And the immaculate way that he's groomed. And the slightly nerdy way that he looks :D.
Hee hee...
Now where can I find a Colbert of my own?
But speaking of him, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that Jon Stewart came over to his show to GANG UP with Stephen on Conan O'Brien :D.

I really like Conan (I do, because my sister loves him and likes to put him on at night), but I gotta be with Colbert on this one: Huckabee himself DID say that it was the "Colbert Bump" which won him Iowa... ;)
Regardless, like Stewart said, I hope this highly entertaining 'feud' will give enough fodder to fill all three shows while the writers remain strong out there.
