Guess who's happy to be back :D
Supernatural 3x09 - "Malleus Malefficarum"
- Certainly was BLOODY and violent this week, huh?
- Incidentally, one of my wisdom teeth is in the process of growing (and I thought I'd dodged that bullet too, being twenty-three and not had any of it come out until now). I've got one of those tight-set teeth, thanks to some apparently narrow jaws, so I fear that the little bastard sucker extra tooth will push the others off the island that is my mouth. Seriously. I'm crazy that way. So seeing some chick's teeth bloodily falling off? Yeah, thanks a lot, Kripke.
- Also, coincidentally, 101.1 FM (the channel the guy was listening to while enjoying his yummy maggot burger) is MY station.
- Lovin' the fandom references:
a) Charmed, obviously, with "the Book of Shadows"
b) Harry Potter: "Wolfsbane, Belladonna, Mandrake"
c) Robin Hood: "Sherwood Fair" on some pamphlets the boys were looking at in their car ;)
And of course there was Fatal Attraction, delivered so humorously by Dean, who was bemoaned the fact that Mr. Bunny had to bite it every time! :D God, I love that boy...
- Awww, Sam wants to be like Dean... You really can see in him that little boy who idolizes his big brother, can't you?
- Ruby, Ruby, Ruby... Well done, PTB. You've finally gone ahead and written a female character, who not only has an interesting back story and some depth to her character, but also GREAT chemistry with the boys (who to ship her with? I can go with either one, really, after this ep) and is actually LIKEABLE!
Speaking of which:
- Sam/Ruby: Sam trying to save Ruby, but is talking about killing humans... Wow, that would've given me pause too, Dean. But I'm glad that her motives for helping Sam seem to be pure.
- Dean/Ruby: I LOVE their conversation at the end! There was some chemistry there.
Which brings me to:
- Humans who sell their souls and go to hell become demons!!! Wow, that actually makes sense. Oh man, Dean... *sad, sad, sad* :(. They seriously must find a way to get him out of this one...
On a related note, I'm now even more glad the boys got Papa!Winchester out of hell when they did.
How many more Supernatural do we get?
I reckon' LOST won the big gamble they took last year by delaying their premiere until now, because I actually decided to give up the show (too 'made-up-on-the-spot-by-scrambling-writers' for my taste), but due a notable lack of other new episodes, I gave in and 'got' it *le sigh*. I'll watch it tomorrow.
