My Birthday Fic

Feb 01, 2009 11:51

Rejoice, my friends, for I still roam this earth, ish. Mathematics has made me her bitch, and writing is my bitch, and we live in a confusing bohemian triamory, with dogwhips.

And speaking of me, I am here ish, though not on IMing places so much any more, but if you wish to shower me with tributes in the form of emails, links, or fic, you may do so ( Read more... )

When do you have an actual break? Or do you not until the summer? Does Uni work differently there?

Do you still need the link to that Charlie fic?

Yesplease on the Charlielink.

I 'm having a break, as such, on the thirteenth of February, which is Friday. One-day winter breaks for the win, no?

No. Sigh.

Yay! The Chillasaura still roams LJ, let alone the earth! :)

Thank you for the link-pimpage. ^_^

<3, and I am not a Chillasaura, thanks, because it flashes me back to the Chilla/Godzilla puns Aggie liked making when she was four and I ten. Poor poor traumatised-pasted me.

First, let me say that I think a DW/Bible crossover is a Really Bad Idea. Like, really.

Having said that, I'm answering the poll anyway! The someone else I think resembles Jack is Mary Magdalene. It's not because of the whore thing (which technically isn't even in the Bible!). However, after Jesus casts some demons out of her Mary Magdalene becomes one of his most devoted followers, witness to the crucifixion and first discoverer of the resurrection. This could be taken as analogous to the way the Doctor steered Jack away from his conman ways and Jack subsequently became one of the Doctor's most loyal friends, who stayed with the Doctor during the year that never was and witnessed his return to power at the end of that year.

Of course, the sinner to devotee situation also applies to Paul, but Paul never actually met Jesus in person, and I think Jack's personal connection to the Doctor is important. Finally, there's always Solomon, because the Song of Solomon is a love poem and therefore right up Jack's alley.

Mm, I know it's a bad idea. It's worse than guilty pleasure and bordering on "Accepting White Powder from Googly-Eyed Strangers on Streetcorners in November" bad ideaness. But I blame Voldemort. That's the good thing about Voldemort, you can always blame him. Observe ( ... )

IDK!! *FLAIL*

It is 3.30AM and I haven't gone to bed yet (but I will as soon as I finish typing this), so I'll think about it tomorrow.

I know you said apart from Jesus. But the Jack-Jesus thing seems too perfect not to do. Rising from the dead aside, I'm sure there are alien explanations for all the other miracles Jesus performed. Plus, Jack is so friendly and personable; he's the kind of guy that people would just get up and follow.

Although, I suppose you may be worried about the potential damnation that could come from writing such a story.

I know, Jack IS Jesus. He spent a year on a cross, for crying out loud, and then everyone denied the year. I do think it's sort of deliberate, you know. Also, I need an icon saying WWJD: Who Would Jack Do? Because I do seriously intend to rot in hell, thank you.

I'm not worried about the potential damnation, no - scroll upwards to read the perfectly sane, normal and not at all staggering explanation I gave tardis_stowaway. Jesus is gonna be Handy. Or Donna. I still haven't decided. Except I might change my mind and the whole Holy-Trinity thing and make Jesus Jack anyway, but who's Donna, then?
