Does anyone have a World of Warcraft guest pass that they'd be willing to give me? I am really just not getting into Second Life. I want to kill something.

I can't help you but I concur about Second Life. I logged in twice and the last time was that night I talked to you.

You could always go back to Ancient Anguish. :-)

Yeah, but it has to be an MMORPG for the class. And yeah, I think the problem is that with absolutely nothing to do in the world (like kill orcs), it's really hard to actually socialize with anyone, because you have no jumping off point.

Yeah, I'm not loving SL myself. Here I was so afraid of getting hooked, and I just never feel like signing on.

I just emailed Constance about it--I asked her if I could maybe transition over to something else, and told her I was thinking either World of Warcraft or City of Heroes. You should email her, too, and let me know if either of those appeal to you.

I thought we had one around here somewhere, but now I can't find it... if it turns up in the next few days, I'll let you know!

If you just find the code, I actually have the software (borrowed from the prof).

If you want to kill something "old skool" style there's always dreamsmud.com

Text based but a fun crowd. And always free. :)

If I were going to do a MUD, I'd just go back to Ancient Anguish, stomping ground of my youth. :p But I need to do an MMORPG for my class on persistent virtual worlds.
