So I did a little hat and scarf set with the purple/lavendar/wine varigated acrylic boucle I got on sale at Michael's with belleweather last month, and I think it turned out pretty cute:

Aw, thanks. I like how the brim came out.

Very cute! I don't think I'd opt for a cream (or anything too much lighter than the lavendar) for the trim. I think it'd draw attention to itself and away from the main color scheme, which is very pretty. But that could just be me.

Yeah, I think you're right about the cream. I was actually thinking today that maybe a metallic gold might work with it, but then again it might not, for the same reasons you cite. :-/

I think I need to take the hat to Hobby Lobby and just hold it up to stuff.

I just can't believe how PRODUCTIVE you are! It amazes me. to no end.

Hahahahaha excuse me. :p

No, it's just funny that you characterize me as "productive," when I have to fight myself to get any work at all done on, say, working up an article from my MS thesis. :p But thank you! It is nice to be complimented.

The hat and scarf set is fan-fucking-tabulous, especially with the pink hair. :)

Thanks. :D Yeah, I think it goes quite well myself. Of course, I'm planning to do my hair "Fishbowl" soon (it's a turquoise).

Would you say that you have very thick hair? :-/

I wouldn't say very thick; it's thick, but it lays down. It doesn't bush up in curls or anything like that.

Awwww, Lennie Briscoe--god bless L&O reruns.
