Work and Leisure - I Saw Twilight

I'm enjoying my new writing jobs, but my brain is exhausted. A lot of time goes into the research and the writing, but even more goes into the promotion of the posts. I have to go to different places and place links, visit other writers to either link to them in a post now or at some later date, have to make "connections", etc. I feel that my ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about the BF troubles--whatever his issues are, I hope he resolves them...

I hope he does, too. I love him very much and however we end up - together or apart - I really hope that he is happy. He's not the kind of person who lets himself be happy for very long. I don't know if he thinks that he does not deserve it or ....I don't know, I do not get it. Everybody has challenges. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get moving again. Giving up is not an option. Especially not for someone is a parent. He has three children. They NEED him to get it together.

what's your e-mail?

I went in with low expectations and i think that helped me like the movie. i wish they could have expanded. they really should have shown more of the cullens, and more of jacob. less of them eating in the diner wtf?

the dad actually graduated from high school in bellingham :D

i though jasper was f'in strange too! didn't really like that, but loved alice. i wish alice could have been in the movie more... they should have made it longer. in reality this could have been a 4 hour movie. i just keep wondering with the time element if they could have done more. i think they could have cut out a lot of the crap like them walking up the stairs, lingering in the parking lot... stuff like that... for more that was explanations in the books...

The diner was one of those things that bothered me. So much of Bella was shown in her making dinner for her dad each night. It showed that she cared for him, it a showed a sense of normalcy, of making a home there even though she didn't want to be there at first. Odd to just cut that out. Maybe they felt that having her carry around a little cactus did the same thing ( ... )

Yeah, it was the only thing that really bothered me. I think they should have cut the time in the woods way shorter too, in turn for more dialogue.

here's from the paper "Another Bellingham connection is actor Billy Burke, who plays Bella's father, Charlie Swan, in the movie. Burke spent most of his young life in Bellingham and graduated from Sehome High School in 1984."

I did get the CA/WA thing. It was actually filmed in oregon, and I too could tell it wasn't the Olympic peninsula. My parents used to take me there (though Forks was just a stop), and I agree... while they did some of the mossy trees right, it was different. I think I would have liked to have seen a david lynch version. He knows how to film washington :)

That's awesome. I hope she loves it. I love romance too, and I know that's why I love the book and movie... well, I know you do too ;)

*hugs* I'm sorry that your BF is being an ass. That sucks. What I wish for you is that you'll find a guy who deserves you. Because you totally deserve better.

*more hugs*

Thank you. That was nice of you. He is so lost right now and I wish he'd let me help, some people find that talking to me helps, believe it or not, but instead he acts like I don't exist. This hurts me and it hurts Sarah. I will not stand for anyone hurting Sarah.

I sent you hugs right back. :D
