Seems like the HCL sequel is not going to happen after all. At least not with Daniel MacIvor's script. Or, well, with his script maybe, but it's not quite what we thought it would be.

Yeah, me too. I mean, when will we have the chance again to see Tracy Wright as Hugh Dillon and Molly Parker as Callum Rennie? (Which is how it'll go, I think.) Plus, even without any HCL remnants in the script, it sounds just as awesome. But... yeah.

In Michael Turner's book, the reunion tour is actually an "unplugged" acoustic one. During the screenwriting process, other suggestions were made - at one point, Bruce McDonald slated the idea that perhaps Hard Core Logo could be an all-girl band instead.

Well didn't he say in an earlier thing that HCL2 was going to be called 45s instead of Trigger. Maybe he's rewritting his OLD script into something rock awesome for Molly and Tracy and ALSO is doing an HCL sequel? Maybe we get both? No? Okay PERHAPS that's a little too much to hope for. But still. I want all of it.

Edit: Or it was the other way around. I am possibly making up information to make myself more hopeful for getting both. Because seriously now, BOTH PLEASE.

See, I thought so too! So I did dig around in his blog some more. *points to ETA* And, well. I guess it IS possible? To take it that way? I guess. I am still confused about the timeline here. Callum told Mal in September that Daniel MacIvor "has been involved" in the possible HCL sequel. So... was that then still a possible go? But... I can't really find any evidence of a major rewrite in DMacI's blog. Then again, he didn't talk about it for about a year. So. Hmm.

Oh, AND. Scriggle posted an article about DMacI and BMcD working together on a HCL sequel. Then again... Ah. Noone actually mentioned Hugh. Or Callum. Hm.
