And poor Luffy, his soul's been broken. Reality does that to you.
As for a time skip, we'll wait and see. I don't think it would be very long, really.
Right now I want to see how Jinbei comforts Luffy!

Right. I can totally see a few weeks while everyone gets their act together. But not a Naruto-style 3-year disappearance while Kidd goes "haha, I got One Piece, bitches!"

I'm writing a fic right now where Zoro does that instead of Jimbei :-P But I don't doubt that in canon, it's probably Jimbei who does it otherwise why is he there?

Yeah, if Oda decides to try to pull that Naruto shit, he's going to get a surprise visit from a very angry American. XD A flood of them, actually.
But yeah, I can't see it as being done for a long period of time because someone else would probably find One Piece by then, and it wouldn't be Luffy! XP

The beginning and the end made me cry. But the first step to becoming stronger is realizing how weak you are, so it's Luffy did that.
And yes, Dadan loves those boys. <3
But, um, what are you talking about, with the Zoro and Kuina bit? I'm not getting that...

I know. It's all kinds of sad for Luffy in this chapter. But now that we're back to the present, I think good things are going to start happening.

She was so awesome in this chapter. Being all "stupid boys" and turning around and crying when they leave.

Yeah, you linked to the wrong chapter. xD And for the manga site I read it on, it was seven, instead of eight, but that's dependent on how many pages of credit and contact info you have to wade through...

A) I dunno, I don't think the rest of the crew is so weakly bound that they would get ripped apart if Luffy's demoralised. I think they would take it as a challenge to fix him up again ( ... )
