What does one say in one's first journal entry in almost a year? Buggered if I know. Too much has happened in the last year to detail everything; most of it is deadly boring anyway.

I seem to remember liking lists when I used to use this thing. Old habits die hard.

I'm so glad I escape the high school gossip. It's a bit hard to gossip about high schools when we went to school in such divergent places - Kenya, China, Croatia, England and two of us in Australia, but different states. :-D I'm the only person in my office who has lived in Brisbane my whole life.

Two years sounds like a dream. Our standard undergrad Bachelor degrees are three years, but if you pay your fees upfront for summer semester rather than letting the Government pay you can accelerate the programme. If I keep going at my current rate, it will take me twelve years to finish a three year degree, and my university says that if it doesn't fit in ten years you can't do it. So I'm going to have to speed up somewhere. I can't imagine working in rubbish jobs for another 12 years until I'm qualified anyway. :-(

What degree are you studying, anyway? It's been so long since I was on LJ that I've totally lost touch with what everyone is doing. :-(

Thanks for the welcome back! :-D

Ahh, I get it. Yeah, I don't have to deal with that either, thankfully. I guess none of us have anything to gossip about! We're usually too busy bitching to each other about our major client to gossip anyway. :-P ( ... )

When are you NOT suffering from the after effects of a theatre production? :-P

I know, it's an amazing photo. Hard to believe it was taken on a $30 camera with a cheap supermarket magnifying glass held up in front!

I again suggest to study externally. It's pretty much the only option you have, unless you quit your office job and get a weekend/night time job in some retail outlet :S

I can't do the external thing. Tried it. Failed. I'm seriously considering getting night/weekend work but the real problem there is that I'd have to give up netball, and I just can't. I'd balloon.

Wait, how did it take you that long to get to Newcastle? I would have thought about 10 hrs or so. Ick o.O

It was about 12 hours either way, including food and comfort stops at Ballina, Coffs and one other little town whose name I can't remember. Which is close-ish to 10 hours, accounting for busly slowness. And I was on the fast bus. The other two buses arrived in Newcastle about an hour and a half behind us.

OH. Don't mind me - I'm just being stupid and not thinking about the return trip *facepalm*
