What does one say in one's first journal entry in almost a year? Buggered if I know. Too much has happened in the last year to detail everything; most of it is deadly boring anyway.

I seem to remember liking lists when I used to use this thing. Old habits die hard.

Ahh, I get it. Yeah, I don't have to deal with that either, thankfully. I guess none of us have anything to gossip about! We're usually too busy bitching to each other about our major client to gossip anyway. :-P

The Government offers pretty good support, really, compared to a lot of other countries. Australian students can get their entire programme cost deferred until your income reaches a certain point. So even though my course is costing thousands of dollars, the Government pays and I just have to pay them back when my income is over about $40K, which I have been carefully avoiding. :-P

I could get student benefits if I weren't working full time, but it's hardly anything at all. It would cover the cost of my rent and then leave me with $20 per week, so I'd still have to work part time, and there's only a certain amount of extra money I could make before the payments would be reduced. Anyway, I want to have a decent income so I can keep living independently and eating well and playing too much netball and going to the football, which I couldn't afford to do on Austudy.

I've told Anthony he has to hurry up and get himself a really high paying job so I can quit work and sponge off him. :-P

I'm scared of overspecialising as well, so I'm doing a BA at Griffith University, the degree popularly known as Bachelor of Attendance, Bugger All, and I haven't bothered declaring a major. I'm not going to stay at this uni for too long because I don't like the courses on offer and it's inconveniently located, so I'm going to get enough credit and a high enough GPA to transfer to the University of Queensland within the next couple of years. When I get there I'll probably stick with the BA, and major in languages and linguistics.

Sounds like your degree will be similar to Anthony's, although he did a double major. His degree is Bachelor of Business (Advertising/E-Business). He's just scored himself a job as Online Marketing Co-ordinator for a well-known national company, so it's paid off. :-)
