Deepdiscountdvd sale

I'd been ignoring all of the posts about the massive sale. Today I got another email announcing the sale is coming to a close on Saturday so I started browsing. Serial Experiments Lain for $35! Ginger Snaps for $5! The Troll boxset giving away Troll 2 because they knew it wouldn't get any distribution otherwise: $7.30! $7.50 for Reign of Fire which ( Read more... )

I own Troll, Troll 2, and Reign of Fire, and I'm PROUD of all of them! Troll 2 was a big hit at Bad Movie Night when Biozombie didn't arrive from Netflix in time. I was so pleased that I'd taken along an alternative.

Reign of Fire wasn't as good as I'd wanted it to be, but I happened to love McConaughey's character. He was probably 70% of the reason I saw the movie, the other 30% being I read fantasy for so long and felt obligated to see a dragon movie. It wasn't a bad movie, though, and I wouldn't mind owning it.

I think Troll 2 aired really late and I made my mom tape it for me. I believe I was interrupted halfway through too. We've had this discussion before, and it's generally agreed upon to be one of the worst movies of all time, but I think it would be amusing to own it too.

I assume I saw Reign of Fire on my post-Equilibrium Christian Bale high, though I've liked him since a was a wee tyke and my parents set me down in front of Empire of the Sun.

(I admire your dedication to italics, by the way. So often I lack the patience to follow through.)

Troll 2 is truly one of the worst movies ever, though you must classify it with other low-budget sincere failures, not among high-profile bad movies such as Gigli and Pearl Harbor. There are varying scales of badness, and Troll 2 holds a very special place on a certain scale. The movie was packaged with Troll, of course, which is why I purchased it. I have a big soft spot for Troll. Troll 2 actually never uses the word "troll" and was, in fact, an unrelated movie that the company decided to tack onto a more successful horror movie. It is unrepentant in its awfulness.

I've got the Troll/Troll 2 disc also, haven't seen either in a while though.

I do want to see Biozombie. I heard that it has english and engrish subtitles and that the engrish subtitles are hysterical. Is it any good? or should I say bad enough that it's entertaining to watch?

Put in SUPERSALE for the coupon code and it should take 20% off the $44.60. At least according to the email and dr_r0ck.

Yep.

$35.68 is the total when I put it in my cart and it would be exactly that due to the awesomeness of their free shipping.
