I've had the song America's Suitehearts on repeat for the last hour and~ I took a music theory class and learned how to talk about music without sounding stupid, but SASDKLFHLJAJLSDFH! I must confess, I'm in love with this song.
Patrick, let's have lot's of brilliant musical babies and I'll knit them hats.

i do the same thing with the guitars, too. i do that with a lot of sounds, though. trying to distinguish between them all...i'm not pro at it either, though. woe is ussss
but the whole rythm & lead distinguishing part is really hard sometimes?

omgwtf how many times have you drank a whole bottle of wine?

i feel your book woes. i have such a hard time just finding the time to read a whole book. i used to read so much...boo.

yeah, i do it with a lot of sounds too. i used to have trouble finding the baseline in songs, but then i discovered that headphones made it all that easier and i also have an equalizer on my cd player, so that helps a lot too.[/rambling ( ... )

because it's believes in giving out hard love!! you have to go through hell and then music will love you back?

it's kinda (oddly) interesting to see how someone else who grew up w/alcoholics dealt with it...
i haven't drank yet. i don't plan on it until i'm 21; and even then idk if i'll ever get to drinking a whole bottle of wine :P
i'm not being all condescending, though, don't think i am. addictions are inherited a lot of the time...

[sorry to take so so long to reply]
that makes sense. things sound, taste, & feel better when you have worked for them.

it didn't come across as condescending- maybe apprehensive(?).
i used to worry about inheriting alcoholism... someone that i trust and respect once told me that i should probably never touch alcohol b/c of my history and dna... i sometimes think they were right.
as of now, i think it's a lot like playing with fire and with my wealthy stable of emotional instability for kindling, it's sure to have have a near constant threat level. but i seem to favor other unhealthy coping mechanisms in its place so... :|||

and that said, i think waiting until you're 21 is a fine idea. whole bottles of wine are never a good idea. i mean, even for people that claim to forgo the hangover, their livers surely feel the affects.
...i think a glass of wine with dinner, belgian beer with grilled cheese, or champagne on new year's eve are fun compliments to life, especially when that's all they are.
