This sort of attitude is only facilitating the problem we have here. We're all wardens, and we should be held accountable as a group. Those "four or five" people reflect badly on ALL OF US. Where I come from, every copper's meant to be clean, supposed to uphold the standards they enforce. What d'you think it says to the inmates when we sit here and tolerate this kind of thing?

It's like the lot've you are content to just sit in your respective corners, mind your own inmates, and not give a damn about anything else that goes on here, 'cause you're not part of the problem.

Thank you for that unnecessary presumptuousness. I'm not saying that you're wrong, and I'm not saying that this shouldn't be addressed. I'm saying that it's inappropriate to climb on your soapbox and give a high-handed moral lecture to everyone regardless of how they're actually responding to current events. You're absolutely right in that it isn't helpful for the Inmates to see Wardens behaving in this way but it's not helpful for them to see you sermonising on the topic, either.

What you could have more tactefully done was write a Warden-filtered message pointing out that the way certain people are behaving is desperately unprofessional and that their example should not be followed, and - if you absolutely had to - a proper telling-off directed towards those who have actually been misbehaving. What you felt the need to do instead was make a public announcement that largely has the effect of expressing how disgusted you are with the conduct of everyone here except yourself.
