Oh, how I understand that need and your selection of pictures makes me happy too.
Outside it is freezing, the temperature is down to -7°now and the forecaste is -16 for the night. And we have blue sky too and sadly no snow. I must admit I would love snow, even if it is difficult to get somewhere. But I love snow.
Oh, and staying in a castle sounds great and I'm looking forward to some pictures from your stay.
Today I got a surprise letter from gvenanne with a wonderful Macklin drawing. It is great and I had to frame it and put it on my wall near my pc. That's my cheerful thing I posted today.
Wow, -16C! We're supposed to get down to -7C, but I'm not even convinced that'll happen (I didn't see it get to -6C as it was supposed to today...) I did drive through a little, light flurry of snow on the way to collect F - and when we got home there was a bit of snow on the ground, though not much. But it was there. *g*
I'm looking forward to the castle, and some exploring! I don't usually go away over Easter, cos I figure that everyone else is, but I just really needed to plan a holiday, however little and brief! Hope you're enjoying planning yours - do you have a list of things you want to see?
So glad you've heard from Gvenanne, as well! I've not seen her around lately, and I did wonder... She's such a gorgeous artist, and I do like the way Pros helps us meet nice people along our way... *g*
A work friend's daughter lives in London, and friend was telling us yesterday that it was snowing! I was quite jealous actually. Never saw London in snow when I lived there--heavy ice, yes, but not snow.
And cause I thought this was really funny at work last night. Our IV tubing is changed every 96 hours or four days. So when I checked the required label--the nurse who'd changed the tubing on 25 Feb. had written 2/25 to 2/29! no leap year in 2018. hmm--two years from now seems a mite longer than 96 hours. I changed it to 1 March. grin.
I'm looking forward to the castle - just crossing fingers that there won't be anyone snoring for four days (it's a YHA hostel, and shared dorms)!
It doesn't snow very often in London - or anywhere else over here, really - so it does feel extra special when it does... *g* I was in London for snow years ago, and it was rather magical...
Hee for your two year plus IV - must admit I'd be a slightly dismayed patient if I read that...! *g*
We had a wee flurry of snow here this afternoon, in the end - here and gone, but just for a brief moment here. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunshine all the way, but I'm told we might have snow on Thursday - hurrah! (Wait, I put that in the post, didn't I... teach me to reply when I really want my bed!)
I really really need some planning - Which reminds me! Turns out I'm going to be in London for almost a week in June (Wed-Sat, anyway) for meetings this exam session - hopefully it won't be the week that you decide to go away... *g*

Wow, staying in a castle! I could go for that. Would depend on the castle, though. *g* I'm sure you'll have a great time.
