So, I like writing, right? I do, I'm sure I do! So why is it completely, utterly awful and the words have to be dragged kicking and screaming to get anywhere near paper (or screen *g*)? Just... gaaargh!
"To Walk Invisible" was only just out last night as a tv film - it was BBC though, so you might find it on whatever they're using for BBC-for-Americans these days. Definitely worth looking up, I reckon!
LOL - oh yeah, I so know how that goes *g* If I have to write something work-related/earn a crust-related... easy! The words pour out of me, almost faster than I can type. No problem whatsoever. Something fictional I'm doing for fun, and oh dear god, the years go by; I have a sudden spurt of 20 pages, then more years go by... I forget where the hell I was going with it in the first place. Ye gods! I'm not sure if it's a self-discipline issue, or whether I just feel guilty for writing for fun.
Good luck with the writing - and if you ever find a cure for whatever IT is, please be sure to let me know!
It's mad, isn't it - so unfair how this works. And how many words have I typed after my optimism this morning...? *repeats to self I-work-better-at-night-which-is-just-starting-I-work-better-at-night-which-is-just-starting-I-work...*
I had a satisfying day because I bought new spectacles for me. The new has changeable side pieces. And the optician offerd 50% discount for the glasses. So I bought one and two more sets of side pieces. :-) And because they had a special offer for sunglasses I bought new sunglasses too.
And I really would like to read your story because what I could see on your screenpicture sounds good! :-)
Oh, sounds like a good day - well done, you! New glasses are on my shopping list too, but I bet I don't find a deal that good! Hope I get to see them next year... *g*
And hee - I wondered if anyone would blow that up to read! *g*
(PS - you still good to post at Dialj today?! Just checkin'... *g*) (PPS - Heeee! You did it just as I typed that!! *vbg*)
Yay!!! for getting yourself In The Writing Zone! (So what if it took all day? The important thing is that you're there now!) Write, dear! Write like the wind!!! It's going to be SOOOOOO satisfying when you get that story finished (and posted online, because I'm very much liking the satisfying that's going on in Photo 1...) *vbg*

The Bronté film sounds interesting. I'll have to see if our library carries it.

To Walk Invisible is going to be available on DVD in a few days, so maybe it'll show up at the library soon. If not, I may just order the DVD.
