I was having rather a cool dream when I woke up this morning - I was visiting some distant northern island, and was about to leave, but the last thing was that I was going to have a picnic lunch with MS! His partner was around, it was just a friendly thing, and we didn't actually get there, it was just gathering stuff together, but - how fun! A bit ( Read more... )

It's so nice to have them there in our flists, isn't it... and yes, so close that they're touching, just naturally so close!

Oh, and I hope you like Voice-over, I think it's one of the most perfect Pros fics! *g*

Ooh, fab picture, and how nice to dream about picnicking with MS!

I have booked to go and see Hobson's Choice in Nottingham. I've been to the theatre on my own in the evening, and I've never found it an issue. I prefer matinees, just because of getting back earlier, but I have found that there are others on their own and I've never felt out of place, if that helps. Go for it!

My mate goes to the theatre on her own all the time, she's never said she feels uncomfortable. It is a social thing, but you mostly do your socialising before or after - during, you're watching. Just like the flicks.

And an evening away from a screen will be good for your eyes.

Love 'green' lads, the tree leaves make an interesting background - especially for a cityscape. The lunacy of my dreams is legendary - but because of my mental health probs my sleep patterns are all to cock and I rarely dream now,

Sometimes people say I pop up in their dreams, which is odd.

But I'm happy to say, I'm getting better every month. So that's all good.

Hope you enjoy the play - I love Hobson's Choice. Unfortunately financial impecunity means my social life is run on a shoestring at the moment - although I am hoping to finally get to Star Wars this week :0)

I think this was me, wasn't it, though it's posted for MurphyBabe! *g*

Yeah, but that's kind of the thing, it's a social thing before and after and those are the times that you're sitting there feeling like a sore thumb! But it really shouldn't matter, and it's not going to stop me going to see MS on stage!

It's always odd when someone says you popped up in their dreams isn't it - it's like being yourself but with no control over what you were doing, and no memory of it! Whatever you did wasn't you at all - but the dreamer will always associate it with you!

Far odder things happen to me!

If you feel like a numpty, play with your phone or read something - you never feel like numpty if you're busy.

Ladies used to take their knitting - but you'd probably get arrested as a terrorist if you took a knitting needle anywhere now!

Lovely thing to find first-up on my flist tonight - both lads are looking particularly gorgeous in this one. And yes, even when he's NOT leaning, he's leaning. *g*

Nice subject for a dream, too. I tend to dream about work, which is nowhere near as exciting.

It is nice to see our lads in our flists, isn't it. Heeee for Doyle leaning even when he's not leaning too - you're so right! *g*

Erk for dreams about work - when that starts to happen to me (usually in exam-mode, though occasionally in a long proofreading job), I realise that I've been doin' it too much!

How cool is that, dreaming about MS? I've never dreamt about either one of them.

I went to the movies by myself once. It was sort of weird. But once the movie started, it didn't much matter.

It's not happened very often, but it's definitely been cool! *g*

I don't mind going to the movies on my own as much, though it's still a bit odd, as you say, but the theatre seems different, somehow... I'm not fussed about restaurants etc. on my own any more, mind, and I guess the theatre's sort of a cross between the two things, so... anyway, I am going to buy a ticket! (Wouldn't it be fab if the play was still running when you got here, probably in London by then... *g*)

The best I can tell, the play is heading to London around April, far too early for me. :-( Won't be in London very long, anyway. Just long enough to help load stuff for the con at the beginning, and then a day to relax before flying back home. His schedule and mine just never seem to mesh. *g*

Ah, I was thinking of The Country Girl which toured the country, but then did a really extended run in London - but I guess still too early... rats!

Also, I know you emailed with your schedule, but for the life of me I can't find the email, I don't know why... I'm sorry - I was all pleased to get it, and it must be there somewhere!

Borders! Edges! Islands! *bg* Dreams! *vbg*

And you're right, I doubt anybody over here thinks twice about going to a show by themselves, unless it's playing in some area where one just doesn't want to be alone after dark, but other than that *g*. Well, no, I shouldn't be sweeping generalizations like that, but I know I, and most folks I know, just go on and go if we want to.

Yes! Borders and edges and dreams! *vbg*

I know going to the movies on your own is just ordinary in the States, but does that count for stage plays too? Do you get alot of people going to see an evening theatre performance on their own? I shall be really pleased if so, cos it's not fair for people to miss out just no one else will go with them to something!
