Back to the Virtual Office - it's Monday again already

Jul 20, 2015 10:22

I could have done with a week off in between, I really could - I hoped I'd have that actually, but Job 2 overran into it. Oh well... So! Today! It's Monday! And it's a new start to Job 1, so let's see if I can manage to do it well - the whole point of deciding to take on Job 1 in the first place was to make it work for me, rather than the other ( Read more... )

You have ripe blackberries already! Are you going to go out with a tub to pick some? I am in the office, it's perfectly virtual since I have been looking for work for the last couple of months. Today I am doing yet another job application (well, in between skiving on lj!) :)

Just a couple of ripe blackberries, dotting the hedges - not nearly enough for a tub!

Good luck with your job search, I hope you find something fantastic with people who appreciate you! (What's your field, if you don't mind me asking - sheer nosiness, feel free to ignore the question! *g*)

YOur garden has certainly come on since the last photos you posted, it's looking positively thriving and healthy.

I'm sorry you didn't get your week off... but you do know what they say about a change, don't you :-)

Good for you, getting out and going for a walk just for the sake of it. Somehow I can never muster the motivation to do that without an actual destination.

My wee garden is looking pretty happy at the moment - I must post some before and after pictures! *g*

I'm definitely fresher for Job 1 than I was when I started Job 2 - just hope it lasts as long as a proper rest might have. And maybe if the buggers'll pay me, I can plan a proper rest!

I'm with you about walking for the sake of it - I usually need a destination too. I find I can do the circular hack-track okay though, maybe because the destination is close by me the whole time! *g*

I love how you've turned the graveled area into a real garden. It's hard to make out the individual plants, but the fuchsia seems to be doing well. :-)

I will post proper pics of my "garden" at some point - before and after, even! The fucshia is in too small a box, but they eventually grew enough for me to say that, and to start flowering! I shall have to work out how to repot them again at some point. There's other plants doing well too - a couple of clematis that I bought have got hold, and one is flowering nicely. And my livingstone daisies are out, that I grew from seed - how fab! I need a big big tub of them next time, cos they're my favourites... *g*

Your garden get's better and better! It looks lovely and already quite green!

I wanted to come to the virtual office, too, and work on Job 2, but I keep doing other stuff to avoid it, darn it....

I just had a row with the little Maus because of her homework for school. She is in such a bad mood and I had to leave the room. Better than yelling at her anyway.

All the best with Job 1!

Hello! I was here at just the time you were, so I'm replying quickly (unlike to your email - but I will, promise)! *g*

The wee garden's looking quite green now - I've planted some more things out, and everything's growing! I planted out the borages, and they're growing too - but they were attacked by wee black aphids, so I had to try and get rid of them (as organically as possible) and although one has perked up and is looking green and happy again, the other two are looking a bit sorry for themselves - but I'm hopeful!

Eep for bad-mood Little Maus - I hope she feels better soon (and you do too...) and eep for avoiding virtual office work... I'm just about to delay the next part of mine by nipping out to the shop, and then lunch... *g* But I must not delay too much! I must finish work by 6pm today, if I'm a good virtual-officer!

It's lovely to have you just up the road a few dozen miles, and having the same seasons and weather as I am... though today my bit of Dorset is swaddled in a glorious sea mist worthy of ghosts, howling hounds and echoing ship bells... but isn't it fabulous living out in the country? I love watching the seasons doing their thing. Your garden is doing really well - I love the pots half sunk in the gravel. So pretty.

Hee - it is quite nice to be able to say yes isn't it! with someone... Although we didn't have sea mist here, and I'm terribly jealous of yours - I do like some good spooky swirling ( ... )
