We used to take that route to just east of Exeter to visit a relative (sadly no longer with us)and the traffic can be horrific - but it really is prettier than the motorway so at least you can enjoy the views! And Stonehenge is always magical, even buried under traffic and tourists.

In Spain and Portugal we see a lot of that 'let's wee by the roadside' stuff. They don't have loos in a lot of the picnic areas. Maybe your 'gentleman' was foreign?! It always strikes me as very sexist and unfair because we can't copy them...

Your holiday is off to a good start! Have a good haunting!!

The A303 is prettier than the motorways, and it goes past Stonehenge, so I have to forgive it much! *g*

"Gentleman" was driving one of those campervan things, and didn't look foreign - and I put very little past Brit blokes who think it's okay to pee against walls and cashpoints and things in cities, so... We could copy them actually - why not just squat down and flash like they do? We just have a sense of decorum so that we don't!

Our haunting was fab, thank you - have finally managed to post about it! *g*

Sense of decorum? Well, yes, but also the knowledge that we could be 'caught' more easily if a police car went past...LOL!

Yeay! And fab it's been so far - ghosties and things whizzing glasses around, and fudge and a castle, and catching up on sleep after it all! *g*

It must be frustrating spending the first day of your trip in traffic. At least you had decent scenery to look at.
Enjoy the rest, now that your traffic woes are behind you.

Well, I'd've liked to get there a little more freely, but I was far less stressed about it than if I'd been on my way to work, so... *g* And the rest is being fab right now - ghosties and whizzing glasses last night, and off to Cornwall today - yeay! *g*
