So today I went over to the library to help my friend "S" with learning MS Excel. Afterwards she treated me to lunch at Linh's Restaurant not far from there. First we went over to the bookstore to see if she could get a copy of the book we were using. They didn't have it ( Read more... )

Soup in a big bowl with other stuff, sounds like stew to me :)

Nope- wasn't stew. This was at a Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant. We asked the waitress what it was called but she just kept saying it was No. 5 on the menu. It looked like a huge bowl of noodles to me (maybe ramen noodles?) and it was served with what looked like salad greens on the side. My friend said it was cilantro (?). A lot of people seemed to be eating it. One woman had a bowl with shrimp in it. Looked liked it was very filling.
