While I have not received the ATM card, yesterday in the mail received the personal identification number assigned to the card. So will probably get the card today or tomorrow.

My new small but local and fully featured bank (Albina Community Bank) sent me my VISA credit card before sending me my ATM card! I find that strange but it is a needed step on my road away from bigbankdom.( today and through March )

On Monday I closed the money market savings account at WAMU and got a cashier's check to hold until I could deposit it at Albina Community Bank. Yesterday, I showed up at 9 a.m. to shed that paper and get it safely into a small bank. The clerk looked at the check and said "Wow."
