The Driveway is Finished!
The workers finished setting in all the pavers and put in some sort of sandy material around them which, I was told, should hold them in place better than those plastic things.
While the concrete is still drying out (still dark in places), I was told it should be hard enough to walk and drive on...which it should be as they removed the red plastic ribbons keeping people from using the new sidewalk.
Everything has been removed save the original water meter enclosure and several "Pewter" pavers.
I parked my truck on it to-day. Really nice to park my truck off the street!
There is a lot of work for me to do now.
I have to remove excess gravel, fill in the park strip with good soil and plant grass there. That's for starters.
Eventually everything will connect through the drive way or around the driveway.
Will work from home to-morrow so that I can be here in case the city inspector comes by and then I can pay off the contractor.
