Pavers
To-day a couple of guys added pavers, starting at 11 a.m.
First--compact the gravel with a mechanized compactor.
Next--add this dark sand mixture and flatten.
Then, add runners (pewter Camino).
Put in the "I" pattern of "Columbia Blend" Camino.
Oh, oh: Doesn't fit 3 feet. Has to be 3 feet 2 inches to avoid cutting. Which I approved, but alas does not line up with the line already pressed into concrete.
The 28 feet doesn't quite fit either for the runners, so he will cut the final runner stone on both sides (4 cuts, or maybe he can do it in 2 cuts).
Then they mysteriously disappeared while Marisa and I went for groceries: no word as to why they left.
Neither run of pavers was complete. End pavers are left uneven (perhaps they were just trial while figuring out the cuts needed).
Still needing completion: all pavers fitted and level, concrete added around perimeter, sand applied to fill gaps.
