Concrete Poured To-day!
The duo added rebar and created forms for the concrete, then poured and finished it! They accepted my suggestion for adding a line depression to emulate the paver stones in the 2 foot concrete.
The sloping at the edge corner may not be the way it is at House 70, but it should be ok.
The six inches and form around the property marker is there. Everything looks good.
We wanted to use magnet letters to impress ZOLACMANOR 2018 in the concrete, but it was too hard to make an impression, so I used a screwdriver and a nail to carve it in, then a whisk broom to clear off the parts I scraped off. My M and following A are a little messy. I also made a mistake starting off so turned that into a geometric icon and did a similar one at the end.
It didn't tie into the old driveway very well, but the new part is less bumpy.
One-third of the driveway for House 70 was removed. The approach was replaced but after that there is a hole we will need to fix.
Eventually I plan to do pavers for House 70 myself, but not now. I will watch very carefully to-morrow to see what they do with the sand and pavers.
