I'm not entirely certain if this is welcome; I'm sure you have enough to worry about without an old school mate of your son's nagging you with a letter. However, my concern is getting the better of me and I feel I must write this.
How are you and your family fairing? I haven't heard anything besides the official announcement of the outcome of the trials, and I've tried to be patient waiting to hear from Draco, but with no word...Oh, goodness, even after pondering this all morning I am not sure what to put down on parchment. I suppose I just want word that you are all well, at least physically. It can't have been easy, to go through all of that, and I wish I could have been there. I know you and I were never particularly close, however, I find myself thinking of you and your husband as much as I do your son. You were always so kind to me whenever I visited...
I feel like I am just rambling now. Perhaps I should keep to writing in my journal? Either way, this is written now and I have a feeling I should send it despite the mess it is.
