Least Favorite Icons 11 - The icon is oversharpened, the outline of the subjects are all pixelated. There is also the lack of contrast, giving the icon a washed out look. 8 - The icon looks very dull with little contrast, the details of the plant is also not very clear. Something set on screen above the icon also made the icon look washed out.
Favorite Icon #1 - I love the close crop and sharpening, the lighting is awesome too!
Least Favorite Icons ##05 - potentially this crop could make a very effective icon, however the image quality (or treatment given) is very low, coming across as grainy. there are also no high points (white) in the contrast, making the icon appear very dark. ##06 - the fact that the writing used is lighter than any point of inara's face draws the eye to the texture used over the subject of the icon. She is comparitivly very dark.
Favorite Icon ##03 - good text use & central crop, the corners finish it well.
Least Favorite Icons #5 - The icon is very dark, making it difficult to identify much besides the face. This pulls attention from the face as you're left wondering what else is there. Additionally, parts of the icons (in the lower part) seem grainy.
#10 - The icon lacks contrast and in combination with the picture in picture it is hard to see what the icon is actually about. Making the smaller image stand out more/add a bit more contrast to that part, might have solved that problem already.
Favorite Icon #1 - A very intriguing crop!
It's starting to get more and more difficult to choose least favourite icons as every one has something going for them (and I hope my reasons aren't written too complicated as to get my point across)
