i know, been over a month since i last posted, and ive been pretty busy with things, getting ready for japan, in like 43 days ill be there, its alittle insane to think about it, but i cant wait, and ive found 2 festivals which ill be probably checking out over there

Sooooo jealous - I want to go to Japan!

I'd do the school, because the danger w/ an apprenticeship is being stuck learning one or two major techniques, instead of being exposed to a lot of styles, techniques, flavors, instructors, etc. good luck!

really, im getting excited for japan, its going to be mental, and i really need a holiday, been working 40/50 hours a week for the last 4 months. its making me alittle insane.

yeah, i was thinking of that as well, and with the cookery schools its also usually a higher standard as that is what your studying.

yeah, ill be hopefully updating each time im in a different city.

ill be over there for 3 weeks, and by myself, but ive done traveling like that before so ill be fine.

mind you ... japanese kids might look upto me and get scared, and there's around the 5 foot, and im 6'2/3

I saw on the news that there is this little shop where single Asian women like to go in Tokyo, where they get treated like "princesses" by a staff of all-western men.

It might be something you want to check out, as a temporary job opportunity.

A) Japan? Soo close.. that's friggin' awesome! I've always wanted to go there! I watched an MTV special with Kelly Osborne that piqued my interest even more. And Canada has a Japanese-Canadian chef named Susur Lee. He took his sons there to learn about their heritage while he was cooking. I love food documentaries...

B) No Canada? Well, I guess that sucks for entropy_14 and I (since she's moving to my city at the end of the month and everything). Ah well, we can always go to Australia

A)yeah, really cant wait as ive been working 6 day weeks for the most of the time since ive been back from the uk.

b)well i will go to canada, its just going to be in 4 years time i guess, once ive finished doing my chef's degree.

c) yeah, dont worry, i reckon ill do the cookery course, just from people ive heard that abuse the kids in restaurants all the time.

yeah, well this next job will only be for 3 months or so, just to fill in over x-mas and new years, then get into studying and then working at a cafe or something along the lines for a part time job. but yeah, i have been thinking about it for a while now.
