Well from a quick look you definitely seem to like the Hero characters who are (mostly) good.

Going by the characters I know (AND ALSO LOVE)...

We both like Wesley and Simon, and from what I know of Daniel Jackson, maybe this indicates you favor the heroically nerdy male team members? :D

And then there's a bunch of ass-kicking, nerves-of-steel women who are super-devoted to protecting their families and others on their side. (Buffy! Deb! Sarah Connor!)

And then there's Boomer and Sierra/Priya who are sort of confused girls and pawns and don't always get to kick as much ass as they should, but they struggle to make their own choices and are awesome and brave when it counts? :)

Those seem like good theories to me!

They try so hard, man, and are in such crappy situations.

I know, right? I have such hardcore love for Boomer. She just never had a chance, did she? Well, at least she was never given one. I just...I don't understand how the things she did were so much worse than what the other cylons did. Athena, the other Eights, Sixes, and Twos all got to be redeemed and live as equals with the humans. And they were guilty of near-genocide and baby-killing. And Boomer's great crime? She shot Adama against her will. And then, yeah, she eventually took up with the other cylons because the humans they were the only ones who would accept her. Bah. I could rant about this for days.

I absolutely loathe the flashback in the finale where Boomer tells Adama that she'll pay him pack. He and Tigh and drinking their alcohol and mocking her, but she's taking the situation deathly serious. Adama and Tigh pretty much disgust me in that scene.

Ugh, yes. I felt so badly for her by the end of the series. Boomer was never given the chance that Athena was - and Athena knew about the original plan to destroy the colonies! But she was given a second chance. And she also had to watch as Athena got to have that happy life that Boomer herself never got the chance to have.

YUNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Trends I see:
  • Pro active women (basically all the ones that I know of on the list).
  • Characters who question things around them.
  • Characters who can and do sacrifice themselves for the greater good.
  • For the most part, I'd say the characters are good people who are always trying to do the right thing.
  • A lot of them are involved in epic love stories in one way or another.

Yes, all those trends make sense to me.

I do tend to like the characters who try to do the right thing, though the occasional broken and twisted bird will also catch my attention (Boomer fits under this category - girl breaks my heart - and Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter and Damon probably would have landed on the list for similar reasons as Boomer if I had extended for another set of characters or so).

aaaaahhh awesomeness I didn't know you were a final fantasy fan!!! They're so rare in my world lol =(

Hmmm, from the few I recognize I'd say you like characters who have heart... in less vague terms hehe, that are fundamentally good and that are (generally) brave.

I also see determination (that's a trait I admire a great deal in Yuna, Elena, Buffy and Lois), aaand lots of kick-ass women hehe

I am! Well, I used to play them. I haven't in a few years.

Determined, kick-ass women with heart sounds like a character that, in general, would definitely appeal to me!
