Women on: Prison Break, Supernatural, Smallville

I was impressed with the women on Prison Break last year. There were five intriguing, reoccuring female characters. ( spoilers for season two up through 'Subdivision' )

supernatural, prison break, smallville

I'm not sure what roles they have left to fill - at least on "our side." We don't really have room for adding characters male or female without ret-conning them onto Michael's skin, and his increasingly short temper seems to imply he's on his last contingency plan.

OTOH, it would be easier to add characters on the side of law enforcement, though it might be harder to make them simultaneously sympathetic, given they'd be on "their side."

Should have planned ahead. Clearly Michael did not design the characters.

If they'd made the 'Micheal-type brilliant' character on the FBI side of things a woman, that would have been good. Balanced the brain power.

I do really enjoy the show (as I'm sure you've noticed), but the gender balance is different this year -- they lost female characters without really adding any.

The lack of women on Prison Break disappoints me as well. I never liked Sara so I don't even have that. I liked Veronica and the Vice President so I'm disappointed they're gone.

I miss seeing the Vice President! Such an interesting character. And though I do like Sarah (though not as much as a lot of people), I also really liked Veronica and was sad to lose her. Especially since it now seems like, with Sarah's introduction into the conspiracy plotline, they put all of Veronica's purpose into Sarah as well. Basically, it feels like they consolidated two females characters into one, which makes me sad.
