Stayed home and waited for the cable guy today, and fantastically enough he arrived within the announced time. And then I had to clean the flat, and throw away a ton of old newspapers, but I still haven't done the rest of the washing up.
And then I went out into the surprisingly cold wind to collect a bunch of books that had arrived. Strange mix of books, but they do seem to sum up my reading habits pretty well:
- Huxley's Point Counter Point
- Edmund Crispin's Holy Disorders
- Evan Wright's Generation Kill
- Jan Potocki's The Manuscript Found in Saragossa
- Melissa Scott's and Lisa Barnett's Point of Hopes. (which I've read, but couldn't find in my shelves, and then a few days after ordering it, it turned up! This copy was hardback, ex-library, and the old one I already had is a paperback.. So, might just pass one of them on to someone in need of a good fantasy novel?)
