Dear Lovely Nurses of 4A,

I am not on call tonight. I wasn't on call yesterday, either. I was on call on Monday. When another floor calls you to ask you who they need to call to let them know a post-op has arrived, do not give them my pager number. Please give them the number of THE INTERN ACTUALLY ON CALL. Kthx.

When he started talking photons, my brain took a nap. I'll be the first to admit I'm a geek. However, I wasn't the greatest of physics students and the only thing I really learned from physics that I use on a regular basis at work is that the velocity of blood through a vessel is inversely related to the fourth power of the radius of that vessel. Oh, and I understand how my car works thanks to physics, I guess. But photons? My brain surrenders.

Some of that warm is here... it's 11:15pm my time (Virginia) and it's 62 degrees outside!!

I was watching the weather report last night and over most of Canada and the midsection of the US was a very large and intimidating cold front. The biggest bear of all is going to be when I go to work tomorrow and it's 50 and when I leave work Saturday morning it'll be below 30. Brr.
