I'm ridiculously excited for nano, even though I'm nowhere near done with my current WiP. Do you get involved in the London nano meet-ups?

no, normally immerse self - come home, start writing. and my social/family life normally suddenly triples during november. (one year? I think I had to do it in 18 days due to conventions and two grandparents suddenly dropping dead) and that's not including the writers' block.

Re: British tourists...I am completely incapable of spotting them until they open their mouths. Of course, I haven't got an eye for style/fashion at all, so I'm terrible at spotting those things in general; I can't identify any tourists from their style.

More importantly, though, I totally kept this tab open for more than a day because I was trying to figure out what I would do for the "describe you to a stranger" bit. Awesome.

burntcopper is pretty great. I love just hanging out and watching things with her, or nerding around about this or that, or shopping, or pretty much anything. She's easy-going and loud-mouthed, which is my favorite kind of person, so I'm biased, but the point still stands. Physically...this is where it gets tricky, because she has this air about her that I really can't describe, although maybe that's as much personality as physical. She just comes off as very competent, very capable. Not someone you want to fuck with, and not someone you could put one over on. But for the more boring details, she's curvy and short (side
