That beagle is actually a Bassett Hound but no less adorable for that. :-)

It should be glad I didn't automatically label it terrier, which i do to anything smaller than a Labrador that isn't obviously a pug or cocker spaniel.

Taken in the midst of galumphing towards me, five seconds before me rubbing its ears and giggling.
