I think a lot of it is the prevalence of people out here with unusually high salaries due to the tech boom and also the recruiting that brings a lot of people out here that favors men over women. It's wacky.

or you know, the men attempt to do the equivalent of the caveman club a chick over the head and drag her flopping body home by drugging her drink.

this has varying degrees of success depending on who her friends are.
