Sigh. I hope with Obama as president the economy will get better. That way, people will get a job instead of stealing. There have been robberies near my school.  One of the robberies was actually in the parking lot.  The robbers were stole an Ipod or something.  Nobody got hurt or anything, but I’m scared because the robbery was at six or so(before

I'm sorry to hear it's happening there too~ but here it's a reality for quite a long time now. *sighs*
People can't listen to their iPod in the streets, and if they do, they change the earphones to some common ones, so they won't attract robbers. I myself just listen to my iPod when I'm in a "safe" place, if it even exists.
Anyway, when things like that gets common, you get used to that. Shouldn't be like that, but it's true. Sad, but true.
I hope you won't have to get used to it =_='

So scary! It happens at my campus too, but lately people don't take it seriously, simply because the robbers just really suck at it. This girl I know was walking in the parking lot when this car pulled up, held a gun out and said "gimme all your money!" She just turned away and kept walking, and the robbers were like "...alright, fuck it!" and drove off.

But don't get too scared about it. I live in the most urban and dangerous part of my campus and so far nothing has happened. As long as you're careful, you should be fine.
