Just a Reminder: Sick Bunny = Vet NOW!

I've spent a frustrating couple of days trying to get a friend of mine to take her obviously sickly bunny to the vet. Since I know some of you are new to bunny ownership so might not realize this, & some people probably need reminding, I'm going to take this opportunity to explain why your sick bunny needs to see a vet *immediately*, & none of ( Read more... )

I would so agree on #3, except for the part about CareCredit. They screwed me over big time when I got one to cover Teddy's vet bills... Long story short, they started declining me despite me being nowhere near the limit and paying more than the minimum balance every month, then stopped corresponding with me at all even to send invoices. A few years later, my parents started getting harassing phone calls at their home from a collection agency that claimed they bought the debt and I owed them close to twice what my highest amount with them had ever been ( ... )

I miss my rabbit.
I rushed him to the vet as soon as he wasn't eating any time he refused to eat

Especially bananas. And the vet was pretty far from me. The last time I really had to beg for a ride to the vet.

But I still lost him. But I did try.

Excellent post. Rabbits can go downhill VERY VERY quickly if they have stopped eating. Immediate vet attention is paramount!!
