On September 2, 2013 my pretty girl, Bella was laid to rest. At five and half years old, that little girl had her fair share of health problems and the last of which took its toll. I could see she just didn't have any fight left in her and I made the decision to not let her suffer any more.

Is there anybody here with veterinary knowledge? So much sudden loss lately; is it possible that there's some sort of epidemic going on? I guess there's no way to really know. We lost Tweedle Dee this morning. =( He had perked up last night quite a bit, so I was hopeful for a recovery - but when I went out to get him for his medicine this morning, he looked worse than ever. We gave him his pain meds, and were talking about taking him back to the vet, but when my mom went out to get him, he was already gone ( Read more... )

Lily died this morning in my arms. I woke up at 7 to check on her and she was laying on her side and couldn't get up. She was very weak, and I knew immediately that it was an emergency. I picked her up and cradled her against my chest while I called the vet ( Read more... )

Sadly the wild rabbit didn't make it. It was doing really well and taking larger feeds yesterday, but found it dead this morning. It did have a rather full bladder, so perhaps i didn't stimulate it enough (i guess a wet paper towel is not quite the same as a mother's tongue)? I sit here bawling.. because today I lost my best friend.

Spice passed sometime during the night, I found him stretched out, his eyes closed, he looks like went in his sleep.

As if losing Mopsy less than a month ago wasn't bad enough, today I lost my very best bunny friend.
