Thumping

Jul 23, 2010 09:18

This is my first bunny that thumps.
At first i couldnt figure out what is making that noise at night.
But then i saw him thump when he got frightened by my hubby one time.
Altho at night i dont think anything frightens him coz he is in his cage.

so what do we do when our bunnies thump?

questions, thumping, behavior

Usually bunnies thump when they're scared, but it can be for other reasons also. For example, my bunny thumps when he's excited, and I've heard of them thumping as they go to sleep. In either case it's probably not much to worry about.

When we first got pancakes she used to thump after we had gone to bed. I think it was either because she was in a new place and wasn't sure what the noises were - or it was because she knew if she thumped I would come back down and give her fuss. Eventually I realised this and stopped going down in the middle of the night and she got over her thumping phase.

They can mean so many things! My Bean thumps when she wants me to pay attention to her.

my Dusty used to do that. it was hilarious. he'd do bunny laps and thump! for his treats.

Sooty thumps when he is scared, also when he is angry. He used to thump in his cage at night but he got over it. He still thumps when he is scared though

i don't want a fight, but i'm not sure it's a good idea to consistently "remind" people to tag their posts. other members can tag the posts as well, as you have it set up. :)

Agreed. I am only planning to remind people for a couple weeks so everyone gets accustomed to doing it. Then I'll just go tag for people or folks reading the post can tag it if the poster forgets
