"Actually, I kind of liked it." Teddy's lips quirk and his eyes narrow, and Billy can see, suddenly, Teddy's pupils are huge. "It's hot, the way the magic picks you out and leaves everyone else dark."

Loved that line <3 but the whole piece flows really well and there's a sparkly feeling to it hehe.

Billy's reaction is ... so utterly Billy. =D

I have a thing for protective rage. This is wonderful.

And Billy's belated worry about possibly having fried some rats is so cute, and also has that kind of detached focus on unexpected details that can happen when you're that angry.

Jesus, how is that perfectly eloquent and perfectly adolescent-sounding at the same time?!
