In the excitement of seeing strange white stuff falling from the sky, I had entirely forgotten it was St David's Day. Poor floppety daffs - no-one will be wearing them proudly.
We haven't got as far as daffodils, fortunately, and even the crocuses are still being a bit cautious*. Snowdrops are probably harder to kill.
*Last year something came and ate all the crocuses near my work before they had a chance to flower. I am blaming Immigrant Squirrels. I don't think it's that this year, though, they just haven't got round to it.
