It occurred to me a week ago that in german, people commonly speak of "Klimaschutz" or "climate protection", rather than "Klimawandel" ("climate change"). Have you looked into NLP (neuro-linguistic programming)? Perhaps it's old-fashioned now, but the re-framing techniques are also powerful, and they rely on how words can be used to control us. I'm sure the advertising industry and the spin-doctor industry think about all this a great deal.
