I LIIIIVE!

So I've been reading through my LJ entries from right before I stopped posting two years ago. It's funny, because it reads like Dragon*Con killed my fandom love, LOL. Reality was that I started my senior year of college and I was CRAAAAZY busy for a year, got a boyfriend, and then a job. I still read (and even write!) fic on occasion, but it ( Read more... )

Hehehe thanks! He's an old internet friend that I had when I was in high school/college that I found again after a few years apart and we were older and it just clicked. He's amazing! And geeky!

Not really, no. I am fandom retired, for the most part.

Well, awesome! Geeky boys are the best ones. ;)

And just because you're out of fandom doesn't mean you can't write! I really hope you don't give it up entirely, you really are an awesome writer. ♥

Woo, congratulations! Seems like everyone's getting hitched around here!

I am still living in Florida, although a different part now. I've got a real job, a live-in boyfriend, and 3 cats. On a whole, life is going pretty awesome. :D

Hey!

Umm, let's see....I graduated from grad school in May, and I'm working part-time as of now because the economy sucks. I don't post here as often, but I do read my flist still and I post a lot of crap to Twitter.

Yay for graduating! I graduated from undergrad in August '08 and was soooo relieved to be done ...I almost stayed for grad school, but decided I couldn't handle it anymore. More power to you for sticking it out!

And I hear you on the sucky economy ... my job is going to be finito come September (our government funding runs out), so I am searching high and low, but the openings are scarce!

Hey, you!

Um, as you know, I moved from Florida to Illinois in October to be with bond-323 and to work toward my Bachelors in History at Northern Illinois, starting this coming August. I was accepted into the Honors program this past month. Currently working on finding a job!

We'll be back in Florida on Friday, by the way! We should grab lunch or something.

Hehe ...I knew all of that except the Honors part, so woo hoo!! :)

Give me a call! I should be mostly around this weekend ...I have plans Friday night for a couple hours and Sunday afternoon for a couple hours, but otherwise I'm free!

*waves*

You know, I was just talking about you today at work, and how your name is so strangely awesomely spelled, LOL. Funny!

Anyway, congrats on graduating, and boooo on not having a job. You were going for library sciences, right? I know that ones tough right now, what with all the government funding getting cut ...my boyfriend's brother is a librarian, and he's hanging on to his university job by the skin of his teeth. Hopefully things will be looking up soon, though ...I will be out of a job again in a few months, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

And, man, it seems like everyone I know either has played/is playing WoW. I've avoided it like the plague ...I don't need another money-eating nerd addiction!

That sucks majorly, especially because it's not really something you could have predicted when you started working on the degree.

Hey, whatever it takes to keep happy. When I was un(der)employed at the end of '08, I logged about 400 hours on Mario Kart for the Wii. At least your game involves human contact!
