[She once tried to kill of all her friends, the most important one most of all. She understands completely.
And yet, with it comes a tiny surge of old bitterness that forgiveness had never been given her, not here. Instead, they had shunned her from the moment she regained her right mind.
Back home, at least, it had been different, and she tries to consciously remind herself of that now, to be able to be reassuring.]
I think it's brave of you to say it to everyone like that.
[Noel doesn't know Ami. She didn't know her predicament, and wasn't even around when she had caused all of that trouble in the village. She has no idea where Ami is coming from when she says those words, but it's still uplifting in the midst of all of this.]
Probably. [No, most definitely.] But even if they were the ones that turned me into... that... the person that was still attacking the village that day was me. Th-That's why... I wanted to apologize.
[He don't even know her and he's so tempted to give her a piece of his mind. But Roy noticed how she speak, the ellipses and stuttering. So this is that person before the Malnosso changed her.
I'll be honest with you... I don't know the answer to that yet. I-I mean-- this isn't something I can just do at anytime. If anything, the only people capable of changing me into that again is... the Malnosso.
[Naruto doesn't know Noel all that well, except for the couple of times they spoke. Which always ended terribly. So he's not sure what to think about this except for the fact that she attacked his friends, and really hurt Luffy.
But if what she says is true... he'll just start with a question. |:] The Malnosso did that to you? [She sounds absolutely nothing like she did when she attacked.]
[... Then ... Luke was right. It really was Noel. It was Noel who caused all that to happen. All those deaths, including Flynn's. All those injuries.
... But at the same time, his (and Luke's) own guess was right. Something was wrong with her. Very wrong. And it was because of the Malnosso that that all happened to start with.
He can't say he isn't still ticked off with Noel for what happened. But at the very least, knowing the cause behind that event has redirected his anger about the situation almost completely.
Still. It might be cold of him to do this, but he has to make certain of one thing she brought up -- what she said about not letting it happen again. Even if he knows it's very brave of her to come out and admit to all this publicly, he won't hide the cold tone in his voice -- he feels it's necessary for this.
In an effort to get through this without interruption, he puts up a filter before responding.]
You know, in the midst of all these responses, she almost completely forgets the meaning behind that question.]
Sure about... what? [Actually, she's quickly regretting asking that. She knows who this is, and that Yuri was obviously a close friend of Flynn's. He's not happy, doesn't sound anything but cold when he speaks to her-- how could she say that!?]
[...good question. She wants to say she's sure, and she knows from the bottom of her heart that this is something she wouldn't just say without meaning it, but... how would she make sure?]
I'm not just saying it. I am sure... I want to be sure. [...] I'm going to be find a way to control it so that this whole incident won't repeat itself.

Whether or not all that crap will ever happen again. Are you sure, or are you just saying that?
