CHANGE OF PLAN just sanji and elicia for a bit |DbasobouyoJune 18 2011, 07:46:09 UTC
[It's a nice day to go outside, and an even nicer day to visit the lakes and whatnot. And after a relatively calm time the two make their way back, Elicia just a curious and excitable leap and run in front of Sanji.
But unfortunately, when she walks into the next clearing, just as she presses through the bent thicket-Sanji probably not too far behind-she doesn't find a squirrel to watch scamper up a tree. She finds one lying limp on the ground. Followed by a bird... and a lot more things she doesn't care walk toward for an actual view.
She takes a terrified step back, voice really low, but she can't seem to get her eyes away from the scene to run back to the chef.]
[...yeah, that'll do it. There's no using trees as cover when they're exploding right behind you. Nami tries to outrun it, hands up to shield her face from splintering, burning bark.
She manages for maybe three seconds before the edge of the explosions catches her in the back, knocking her off her feet with a scream.]
[And all this time, she was running right behind it. By the time the explosions pass and leave Nami sprawled on the ground, Kusanagi is already looming over her.
[Apparently not a great deal, because explosions are painful and her health bar went down 25% it's all she can do to push herself up to her hands and knees right now, ears ringing. Her back is pretty burned. She really liked this shirt, too.
You'll be nice enough to give her a few more seconds to get her bearings, right? >_>]
[that's like 3000 hp omg!!! No. And she isn't the type to let people have last words. Kusanagi glares down at Nami--the person who's been giving her the most trouble all day.
You are going down, woman. B|] Die.
[One of those swords? It's about to tear through her neck.]
[Breath catching in her throat-- well. She was trying to get up. Nami drops flat again and rolls, sword slicing across her shoulder instead. She'll take it. Scrabbling up now, but she's still wide open.]
And so easily, the swords tear through Nami. The Murakumo watches without a care as the woman is gutted, her limbs painfully torn away by the large blades in the process of it all. The horrifying, gory process.
[No time to react. Kusanagi can feel the uncomfortable pain of it and tries to yell, but the only thing coming out are droplets of water. She tries to cough it out, but it won't budge. It's like she's drowning in air.
[It's like being back at the hot springs, right Noel? There she'd just settle for pulling you under the water.
She can't hold it for long. A handful of seconds at the most, because right now Nami is just concentrating on running. She's buying more time. Mu's too powerful, so realism speaks: there's no way she'll survive all the way to the plaza. It hurts to think about. But right now...plan B.
All she needs to do is make it a little further. Elicia's warning gave her time to set up a fallback plan. The climatact swings out as she runs, the end flaring with electricity.]
[Is this really the same person you were with at the hot springs, Nami? The one who's trying to murder you now?
Give it a few seconds--once she's far enough away, Kusanagi finally manages to hack up all of that water. At first, she doesn't do anything else but cough; that was a little more painful than you would think. B| And maybe it's out of the sheer tenacity of it all, but the Godslayer forces herself up to continue in her direction.
[No, she's willing to bet you're entirely different people, now. It...makes it easier to fight you, you know? You're just a crazy psychopath who happens to have Noel's face.
That's what she'll tell herself now. The problem is, when you die, so does Noel. Nami tries not to think about that. She doesn't have the luxury.
She keeps running. But she doesn't have to go far; in fact, in another few moments, she's sliding to a stop and turning to face Kusanagi, staff held up to her chest. It's almost like she's challenging you.]
[Surprisingly, Kusanagi doesn't use the opportunity to catch up and punch her or anything. Rather, she stops only a few yards away from Nami. A stare-off, perhaps? Either way, she already knows Nami has something in store if she's taken a sudden change in strategy.
