4 He left. He just… Left.
Takanori was sitting with his back pressed against the wall, his head throbbing and spinning. He felt sick in some way, and he just wanted Yuu to come home, so that he could take care of him. He didn’t have the strength to do it himself.
It was two in the afternoon. Takanori had woke up at twelve on the couch. He quickly took a shower and got dressed before he went for searching Kouyou. The apartment was empty. Kouyou left. It was at that moment Takanori felt a suddenly aching feeling in his chest and he collapsed against the wall. He sat there ever since.
Feelings and memories of being used and being played with came back. He only fell in love once, and that time he got simply abused. What if Kouyou was like that?
He squeezed his eyes shut and pressed his fingers against his temples in effort to stop the throbbing in his head. He tried to remember last night’s events, even if he actually didn’t want to, he needed to know what happened, so that he could give Yuu a clear explanation when he got home.
Flashes of Kouyou’s bare body above his, how his blond hair was being sticked against his sweaty forehead, how the blonde was panting and enjoying every second of it.
But he could still feel the pain, and if he didn’t remember it wrong he was even crying, and Kouyou didn’t care. He didn’t mind at all, and just continued doing whatever to pleasure himself. How he forced Takanori on the couch, claiming how badly he wanted him, but after he got laid he apparently left.
"Blonde hair, brown eyes... It's just the type of guy you fall for, don't you? He's just like Akira and-"
"He is not!"
Maybe he is. Maybe not only his looks, but also his inward was like Akira’s… What if Kouyou and Akira were really that much alike? What if Kouyou was just as cruel as Akira was, and would hurt him even more than his former lover did?
“He is just like Akira.”
Takanori shuddered at the thought. He began to doubt himself.
Did he simply fell for the wrong type of guys, or was he just such an easy thing to play with?
---
Yuu unlocked the front door with his key, opened it and walked inside. “I’m home!” he called, looking around in the living room for Takanori and perhaps Kouyou too. At first, he didn’t see both of them, but after he looked down, he saw Takanori laying on the ground, against the wall. His bloodshot eyes fluttered as he tried to look up, a faint smile playing with his lips.
“God, what happened to you?” Yuu asked concerned, dropping his bag on the ground to kneel next to Takanori, “you look… beaten up - did he hit you?!”
“He only hit on me,” Takanori muttered, rubbing his eyes, feeling they were still wet of crying. “Can you help me get up? I don’t think I can…”
“Of course, of course…” Yuu murmured as he wrapped his arms around Takanori’s waist to pull him on his feet and set him on the couch carefully. “What happened?”
“I think I’m stuck in a vicious circle,” Takanori sighed, his head slightly bowed. He stared at the ground, at his feet. He felt Yuu’s concerned gaze almost burning on him.
“What happened?” Yuu repeated, wanting a proper explanation.
“He took advantage of me and he left, just like Akira did,” Takanori answered bitterly, “I think you were right when you told me he was like Akira.”
Yuu couldn’t remember he said that at first, but as he looked back at the conversations they had about Akira last weeks, he remembered the words - but he didn’t mean it like that.
“I’ll get you some water… Your throat sounds dry.” Yuu stood up and walked towards the kitchen, looking back over his shoulder as he opened a cabinet to took a glass out of it. He filled it with water and walked back to his helpless-looking friend and gave it to him.
Takanori took small sips of the cold liquid, cleared his throat and smiled gratefully. “Thanks.”
Yuu frowned concerned. “Do you mean you two had-“
The smaller man threw him a murderous glare. He knew Yuu would start telling him now about the whole ‘don’t do something you’ll regret’-policy. But he didn’t.
Instead, the raven sighed and placed himself on the chair next to the couch. A flicker of worry and sorrow was visible in Yuu’s eyes, but Takanori didn’t know why he was the one who looked hurt.
“And where is he now?” Yuu asked.
Takanori shrugged. Probably the blonde was somewhere in his own apartment, maybe he was outside, he didn’t know. As long as he didn’t have to see or face him it was all right.
“I told you not to do things you’ll-“
”Regret, I know… Fuck. You don’t know how it’s like to have such a… One-in-a-million-chance in front of you and… I couldn’t resist. I know it was stupid and I screwed everything up but…” Takanori didn’t notice the tears started to roll over his cheeks again. “I love him, okay?”
Yuu bit his lip. Carefully, he asked: “How can you fall in love with someone who did this to you?”
“I didn’t know he was like that.”
“It’s sex, not love.”
Maybe he did. At that moment he should’ve pushed Kouyou off him, told him this wasn’t right, maybe even confessed. But what was the point of that when Kouyou only saw this as a pleasure, something to kill time, without any hidden motives?
Yuu saw how troubled Takanori looked, how hard he tried to hold his tears but simply couldn’t. He wanted to do something to comfort him, to hug him or something, but maybe it wasn’t applicable at this moment. Maybe Takanori didn’t want anyone to touch him, no matter in which way.
The only thing he knew now, was that Takanori was broken. And he didn’t know how much time it would take for him to recover.
“I’ll probably never see him again,” Takanori sighed, “maybe that’s even better.” He rubbed his eyes and took another sip of the water. “I lost him.”
“It’s not your fault, Taka, you know that too.”
“But it is. If I never… felt something for him I wouldn’t have let this happen. But I did. I thought he liked me, but he just… Fucked me and then left.” He bit his lip.
Yuu saw how upset he was and sighed. “Should I go talk with him?” he asked carefully.
Takanori looked up when Yuu stood up, fear and sadness visible in his eyes, but he tried the best he could not to let it show. But Yuu saw right through his mask, and he still thought it was simply pathetic that a guy couldn’t show his true emotions whenever he felt horrible. Probably Takanori still didn’t after all those years.
“What are you going to say to him, then?” Takanori muttered.
Yuu simply shrugged. “I’ll see what I can do - or say,” he said, “but I’ll bring him to senses. He works at the mall, doesn’t he?”
Takanori nodded slowly. He felt like a bullied kid, and Yuu was his mother - or in this case, father - who would solve everything by talking with the bullies.
But this was kind of worse.
It’s not like he’d been raped. He just let Kouyou do whatever he wanted to, only because in the back of his mind he had hope. Hope that the blonde did this because he liked him, not because he wanted to get laid and leave him hurt afterwards.
He could only complain about the fact that Kouyou left him alone. But what then? What was he going to do? Force Kouyou to love him back? He couldn’t do that and he knew it.
He just longed so much for someone to care about him. And he was too desperate to see it was the wrong person he choose.
---
Kouyou put the cans with juice in it in the shelves, sighing at the weight of it. Maybe it was better if he quit doing this, he only exhausted himself and he could get a better job. He wondered where Takanori worked.
A faint smile appeared on his face as he remembered how easy Takanori was to get, how easy he gave in. He didn’t even saw through his acting, pretending like the happy new neighbour, while he was the complete opposite.
He could still see Takanori’s shocked face beneath him as he spoke the magical words, which froze him completely, and even made him cry. In some way he felt bad, he shouldn’t have made him cry, but it felt so good to know how much Takanori longed for him.
For once, he felt loved again.
A cough next to him caught his attention. Kouyou turned his head and looked right in Yuu’s dark orbs, which didn’t look so extremely happy. “Hello, Yuu,” the blonde tried, smiling. He put the box on the ground. “Can I help you with something?”
“You better go search for some help yourself,” Yuu muttered, sounding angry.
“What do you mean?” Kouyou asked, frowning. Of course Takanori sent Yuu to him, but he could handle this. Yuu wouldn’t break him down.
“What do you mean? Like you fucking don’t know that yourself!”
Kouyou blinked, feeling the people in the mall turning around and gazing at them. “Do we have to discuss this here?” he muttered.
“What? Are you afraid to be embarrassed?”
“I’m afraid people will see you as a complete fool.”
“Fine. When do you have time?”
“I don’t have time for this crap. But guess what, I’ll make time for you, if it really is necessary.”
“You’re so careless,” Yuu muttered, almost sounding disappointed, “do you even have a heart?”
